What is on top of your machine?

Hey guys and girls!

Not sure if there is already a thread like this but i had a spare pic after taking photos the other day and didnt want to let it go to waste

I guess this is a thread for pics of peoples machine tops and what they hold.

* I really only keep a couple of short cups, spare group handle and basket and tamper on top of my machine...everything else in the pic is on a convenient shelf just above and behind

Not much
A towel to stop scratches and all you see is on top of the towel

Dont put much on top of the DJE, just a paper towel to sit the naked GH and a small jug....

We have a client who picked up a brand spankin Giotto Pro yesterday...

On the top of her old machine was 250g of butter- just softening  ...and then the doorbell or phone rang...and then there was a rather firey demise to a certain Makin machine...

One for the insurance assesssors to discuss

Just the usual cups but we dont actually use them as they are all too small in comparison to what i like to drink out of.
Perhaps i should be giving them to vinnies and buying ones more appropriate?

WOW! thats a great idea! i usually make dough for either pizza or faccacia once a week and had not thought of that b4!?!?!?!?

Credit goes to my mother in law, who told us on return from Nigeria couldnt get dough to rise here. Mentioned leaving it on the dash of the car....

This got me to understanding why mine would never rise and always be rubbish....not enough heat.

Then we thought, hang on...... been doing it ever since and as I said, works brilliantly.  8-)

Machine on, tea towel folded over on top, bowl on top of that.

So she is the instigator.

I have a tray of nice SL28 cultivar green beans that Im trying to get to grow on top of mine as a sort of mini-greenhouse kind of thing.  So far no sprouts, but no sprouts with the control tray sitting off the espresso machine, either, unfortunately.  Other than that, I have some cups with a teatowel draped over them for warmth.
