Sorry Smokes, just got back from a European vacation and still a bit confused I am.
I was misled by a bean bay alert that I thought was this month but later noticed it was for last month.
    Just testing
    Rattled Roger
Ok, maybe Ill pass if you ever invited me on a flight.  ;D

Sounds like a plan - coffee on you.

    Hi Andy,
I just noticed that there are no pickup points listed for this months (2nd October) bean bay.
Will there be some or are we making Australia Post more wealthy this month?
    Roger
Theres a beanbay on 2nd October? News to me. :-?

September beanbay orders have been dispatched and yes, there were pick up points.

As a newbie to roasting and new owner of a Gene Cafe, thanks to Simon, Sue and all those who made us feel so welcome yesterday. Hopefully next time we will be brave enough to bring along a sample for critique! Tongue
Glad you enjoyed the afternoon, it was great everyone contributed. Wed love you to bring the gene cafe with your sample!    Some of us havent seen one.

Then we will have covered a corretto, Hottop and Gene Cafe.

If anyone has a popper they are welcome to bring that too

Sorry that I missed the Sunday catch up and big thanks to Simon to allow me to pick up seperately.
Being a newbie and just recieving my first lot of green beans I have started with a popper. So could bring it to the next catch up. By then I should have a few roasts under my belt and be able to bring some roasted beans to sample.
Sounds great Woosh, pickup day is getting better and better thanks to Simon and Sue opening up their home to Perth CSers. A cupping session of our roasts could be an interesting way of showcasing our roasting skills.
Cant wait till next pickup day....................

would be very happy to bring along the Gene Cafe for all to play with, cos its confusing the proverbial out of us!! Although may be in a couple of weeks we will have a better idea.

If one of you brings a Gene Cafe, then we can work it out and try a few roasts.
It will be good for rynnlic and anyone learning.

For those with a Gene Cafe would maybe know more than me though. I have only used it about a dozen times. mostly roast on the bigger beast.

Unfortunately the forklift is out of action  ;D as this baby is about 350kg.  I also have a Gene Cafe to give a demo to other CS.
That is actually, an excellent idea I know of some new gene cafe roasters who would appreciate that
