    *Chuckles*

Reminds me of the Nespresso posts on this site...

...when will people realise that this is a site for coffeesnobs? (or at least those that want to be!)

    Also...

    2. Making instant coffee is boring - I find making my morning coffee on a real cofee machine very therapeutic
Second that, tashie! Couldnt agree more

I am designing a new style of instant coffee packaging that intrigues and engages the user on a satisfying level thus improving their coffee experience.
The problem is that you might be able to intrigue and engage the user on some sort of satisfying level BUT it wont be about the coffee.

For example, if you could get away with it, you might put naked women on the packets and attract a lot of males (some may even buy the coffee), but once they taste it theyll realise its no different.

End result = I extra sale from that consumer and then no more.

So the premise is faulty; you cant satisfy the users coffee experience with packaging because the experience is about the coffee.

I have never been so entertained on a CS forum EVER! This is gold.

I would have to agree with the suggestion made by Matt.

She enjoys the burning sensation of freshly brewed coffee being poured down her naked back.
Think about her as you drink this instant, it will take your mind off the taste.
On the other hand, we were all (misguided) newbies once and it cant hurt to be nice, so I will put my inner coffeesnob aside for all of 5 seconds.
Here are my problems with instant:
    1. It tastes artificial; not like real coffee.
    2. Making instant coffee is boring - I find making my morning coffee on a real cofee machine very therapeutic
    3. It doesnt smell as good as real coffee.

Also, Im not sure how packaging will enhance the user experience. It might make someone buy your product instead of the competitors, but...

Finally, I do use instant coffee sometimes. And even for consumption.
    Just to bake with.

WOW! someone actually came to US for ideas on how to get people to buy instant coffee?

Thats a bit like McDonalds going to the Rockpool and asking Neil Perry(tosser!) for his opinion on Asian salds. lol

    I love it ;D

    Just came across this post

    I love instant coffee
I used it for the kids school craft projects to stain paper, for example treasure maps

    Wow what a product
    KK
Weve always used tea for treasure maps.

    Cant vouch for the taste
Id still wager its better than most instant coffee from the supermarket - made with CP and tender loving care!

Hey, you guys - I have a perfectly good instant at home, made with the loving hand of Dennis the Delectable!

Cant vouch for the taste, though, because its still all nicely sealed up in a test tube...

I picture of a polished turd on the packet ...
Which when ground, granulated or freeze dried produces instant coffee

    thats a bit kinky.

    Packet reads:

She enjoys the burning sensation of freshly brewed coffee being poured down her naked back.
Think about her as you drink this instant, it will take your mind off the taste.

    Could work.
