    Re: Convex or Flat Tamper

no mal, thats a fair call. It will be pretty hard to separate both May and Josh from their reg barber tampers so sometime in the future well arrange a meetup and try and replicate the results.

It might not be the same though since we wont have access to first pours fb80 (may is now at alens espresso, I now work for brother espresso and josh is fitting out his own dream shop). But Im sure we can try it on either the new spaces that are opening up such as Fifth Battery or Joshs new shop. There will be some interesting machines to use for the comparison and if we can all get motivated we can try and do what you suggest.

        Re: Convex or Flat Tamper

Received my Pullman Barista and Synesso yesterday and used them this morning for the first time. Wow, what a difference a decent fitting tamper makes in the scheme of things.

I dont have to move around constantly in the basket to get a decent tamp and the rings on the edge give me a great guide to level tamping.

I reckon I pulled a near perfect shot this morning, probably my first ever. The coffee was great. Now to work on repeating it often.
        Merry Christmas all,
        Tony
