Gday Guys,
I aquired some green beans, and now storage is my concern.
I transfered the beans out of plastic, and into one cotton bag, and a few mesh bags (meant to be reusable fruit and veg bags). I put these in a PP bucket with a lid, along with a jar of blue silica gel (yes I know the blue colour is toxic, thats why its not in contact with the beans). The jar has a breathable top.
The reason is that Newcastle weather is often humid, and I dont want my beans going mouldy. But is it detrimental to store them where its too dry?
Cheers,
Neil.
PS. My two popper roasts of decaf have been great so far (overnight rest - thats why I did decaf first - and through the aeropress)
