Hi guys, not sure if at the right area, am a newbie.
Can you suggest a shop to purchase good fresh roasted beans near Joondalup or Midland, I live in Bullsbrook.
I like lattes and the wife enjoys a mocha.
We are new to coffee but are looking to experiment with new tastes.
Any advise is much appreciated.
Also in the hunt for a machine and grinder.
Like a Silvia to a BES900, if you know of any for sale.
Saw some on the classifieds but nothing stated about postage.
Asmay, cant really help you on the bean front as Im pretty new myself but you can buy beans through coffee snobs (just click on the Roasted Coffee icon on the top left of the screen. Also five senses will deliver direct to your door as well. Alternatively Im sure some of the others on here will be able to give you a bit more info.
As for a second hand machine keep an eye on the Hardware for Sale section of the forums or have a hunt around gumtree and ebay.
Alternatively a few of the site sponsors deliver to Perth which is the route I took, cant wait to have my Silvia delivered
Hey Asmay, if you want to go and visit somewhere then marginally closer to you than Midland is Yahava Koffeeworks near the southern end of West Swan Rd.
Theyve got some great blends and normally a single origin that changes monthly(ish?) and if youre lucky theyll be roasting when you visit, smells great.
They do tastings too, you get to pick a couple of coffees and have them brewed up for you in a plunger so you can see what they taste like before committing.
I assume youve read the rest of the thread because Dimattina in Osborne Park get a pretty good wrap too although I havent had the chance to visit yet.
We (my wife and I) dropped in at Dimattina for a coffee and a chat with Jono yesterday afternoon. The cafe is looking great and the coffee was as good as always. Jono said that maybe next week might be the first session of the new year.
Renovations at Dimattina are coming along but still taking a little while now that were fully operational again. The cupping room right now is a bit of a dumping ground for loose furniture as the training room has had to take priority due to classes starting up again. But a few more days and we should be ready to cup again. Ill post later with the details but Im aiming for 1pm Tues or Wed next week.
