Is that Johnno the barista specialist and competitor?

Should get him to register on this site if he hasnt done so.
Also that young lady working there who was on Beanscene a while back.

Will take a break in December and then organize January.

Otherwise others here can organize one for December if they want.

    Gary at G

I think youre thinking of Johnny from Elixir. Johnno is still a great barista though Johnno is registered on CS but I cant remember what his sn is. Madi is the one who was in Beanscene, Im not sure if she is on CS though.

Well i was actually thinking going to Yahava in the Swan Valley one Sunday for a Snobs meetup. Great location and great coffee. Only thing is they dont really do lunch so maybe at a time like 1:30pm/2pm?

I went out to Yahava Swan Valley today actually! Nice environment. I was thinking about getting some barista work there.. but it is a very long commute from my house in Hillarys!

      Hi All,

I am alive! Glad to hear you all had a great day on Sunday, very disappointed I didnt make it. Had troubles with the moving truck and dodging the showers of rain.

Looking forward to catching you all next time...

You can arrange that if you like fractalsonfire.

State the venue, date and times well in advance so everyone has a chance to see your posting.

Keep in mind the posting policy rules, and if anyone wants more info, state that they should PM you for further details just to keep everyone happy.

        Please enjoy the experience.

Amelie, Sorry you could not make it.
The weather has been rather strange hasnt it?

Guys and Gals, if you cant make it in future dates, theres always Beanbay Pick-Up, where you can pick up beans and other Beanbay items for your requirements at cheap freight rates and also enjoy the camaraderie of WA snobs.

          Re: Perth, WA

          Hey guys,

Jono from Dimattina here. I talked to some of you about this at the last gathering but for those of you who couldnt make it Im planning on setting up a weekly public cupping session at Dimattina in Osborne park (3/19 Collingwood St). Im thinking Wednesdays at about 1pm? Had a trial run with Greenman and Gary S last week which went really well. Feel free to bring along any single origins/blends you would like to cup too.

          Hope to see you there

              Re: Perth, WA

Yeah, sorry about the time. Ive only been given one day per week to roast and cup the beans, which means I have to start really early in the morning so the beans can rest enough to be cupped the same day, hence the 1pm timeslot. I was hoping it may coincide with lunch/coffee breaks for people who have to work.

As a virgin cupping participant, i would like to thank Johnno for organising the cupping session.

Great coffees there that revealed interesting roasting and origin characters, learnt a lot about the technique of cupping itself.

Great to catch up with McCartan, JamesM and Gary S.

Pity Greenman couldnt make it. If i dont see you next week, then perhaps the week after.

Thanks also to Simon for the beans for me to enjoy roasting.
Will let give you my feedback on the Bolivian San Juan 8 Estrellas.
