  • Australia. 45th place for coffee consumption. How unexpected.

Finland leads the pack, and assuming that those 12kg becomes 10kg after roasting... and 7 grams goes into each cup, that works out to 1428 coffees per person per year. Roughly 4 coffees per person per day in Finland. Exclude kids and pregnant women and the figure is probably closer to 6 coffees per day.

Australia comes in at a distant 45th place, with only 3kg consumed per person per year. Thats roughly one coffee per person per day.

      Ahh, wiki is infallible.

How many growing regions refrain from consuming their own produce?

I was thinking maybe theres a big nescafe factory in finland or something... They import the coffee ... then export it

well that could skew the results.

Just been contacted by a former work colleague of mine.
She mentioned the first and only coffee I made her just before I finished up there 3 months ago.
Shes still raving about how good it was.
                    She Finnish.

I remember hearing it was more like 20kg per coffee drinker per year including all the instant drinkers.

Poland was on top of the list i had seen with 40kg.

                        Someone has it wrong!?

Two of my usual doubles a day (a very rough guess) comes out to about 15 kg a year.
