I will go out and order some sort of crappuccino concoction from McCafe or Starbucks for my penance. Whats the caffeine count for that?
    I think zero.
They use frogs not coffee as far as I can tell from their advertising.

Yeah, OK. I guess that answers the first line in my OP.

Sorry to generate so much outrage   :-X

No Outrage... Just a good Laugh

0 its all syrup flavoured  ;D

    Context and Fit for purpose

See one of the reference links http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/factsheets/drugandalcohol/caffeine.html  (2007)

The context was not identified in the calculator and the MAX amount possible looks to be used; thus the usual lack of detail when attempting to get something out..  Or just an anti caffine push...

A few mins more of thought and contacting a coffee person would have allowed a few drop downs / options in the caculator and a better outcome for all.

And further evidence that they did not bother to look to hard at their own data sources..

    The other reference site: http://cerhr.niehs.nih.gov/common/caffeine.html

Gees you guys are cynics.  : its only a guide but if you look underneath there are 8 (count em) reference citations. I still wouldnt take it as gospel, just like any online health advice.

Yes, you wouldnt have a 200ml espresso but you can calculate it pro rata e.g. of you drink two 25ml shots a day then enter .25 in the calculator.
    A guide or what ?

With the gross miss direction as to the size of the drink VS Shot size...

Then that will only shock and confuse 99% of the people who take the test; as the whole layout look as if it is a real professional site and that, thus it has to be true...

    ****************************
    Coffee - instant  200ml   62mg

    Coffee - long black 200ml   202mg

So by adding water I triple my caffeine intake..  ROFLMFAO.

    ****************************

I think I will go an have another 200ml Espresso... Now how do I make one of these ?

PS. The Quality in me... Meant I had to use the feedback function on the site and ask them to please explain Some of their data etc...

    Not holding my breath :

To question is healthy and intelligent, blind acceptance without question is dangerous.

Since when is an espresso 200ml?!?
When using pre-ground and you get distracted for a couple of seconds.

Also if you ask for a long black at a shop with an espresso machine you generally get a cup a hot water with an espresso shot in it.
Therefore shouldnt an espresso (388mg) be the same as a long black (202mg)?

    I got 1180mg

    388mg from an espresso?

    http://coffeetea.about.com/library/blcaffeine.htm
Lists a double espresso as 45-100mg.
Calculating from that I get 210-440mg for my daily intake.
    Big difference.

I thought the same so treated long black and espresso as the same, like all of these things poorly researched, in other words flawed, someone is probably proud as punch about having created it and being paid mega bucks for the effort. >

Oh dear, here we go again.
Read my first line Jon. Have you dismissed this as crap before even looking at it?
Not referring to your post Flynn simply the fact that we are seeing another conflicting report on the affects of caffeine.
Certainly didnt dismiss it as crap, did the test and it told me 3 cups of espresso a day put me over the limit.
Did the test once, it told me I was over the limit at just over 400mg, did it a second time, same inputs and it came up with 606mg :-?
