  • Recent Experience with Sienna Coffee?

Has anyone had an recent experience purchasing equipment (mail order) from Sienna Coffee in Western Sydney?

I ordered a rancilio rocky a month ago and received an email over 2 weeks ago that it was tested and was about to be sent. However, since then it has not arrived nor has the amount appeared on my credit card. They don’t respond to emails, website contact form and their phone number is answered by an answering service who take my details but no response.

This morning the answering service felt sorry for me and gave me the mobile numbers of two sales managers. Both phone numbers were disconnected.

I suspect they’ve either folded or had some sort of catastrophic staff turn-over. I ordered my Silvia from them a few years ago and they were ok then, if a bit slow.

I’ve instructed them by email to cancel my order, but I don’t wish to order from another supplier in case they suddenly re-appear and I end up with 2 rockys. Sadly, it seems I’m going to have to put up with poor coffee from the worn burrs of my sunbeam grinder for a bit longer…

Are you dialing the 1300 number or the 02 one?

The 02 number. I wasnt aware of a 1300 number.

Would appreciate it if you could post/pm me the number.

        Hello Houseboat and welcome,

Its a shame that you have found CoffeeSnobs now rather than a few weeks ago. You could have supported a Rancilio selling sponsor and you would have experienced service as well as support and most likely a better price to boot. In the words of a certain actress, "Big mistake. Huge."

As the mob you chose are not sponsors, I cant see why they should get a plug, even if only for their bad service.  :-?

Houseboat, If youve cancelled your order, its cancelled.

Personally they might sell at a good price but "Unavailable to the public for pick ups or drop offs." rings alarm bells with me.  Who is going to fix the item when it breaks down or needs servicing.  Sounds like they dont want contact from their customers to me.

Seriously, send an email to query all the site sponsors <---- over there.  Youll get great service and assistance post purchase.

Also take a look at the Compak K3, great grinder for a great price.

[QUOTE=4F6872746265686673070 link=1297136565/0#0 date=1297136565]I’ve instructed them by email to cancel my order, but I don’t wish to order from another supplier in case they suddenly re-appear and I end up with 2 rockys.

Which has recently happened to me... only for beans though.

Had to go through the whole process of getting my VISA reimbursed and am still out of pocket, as I had to return the beans by registered mail.

NO help or cooperation from the business in question (who is a sponser here BTW). Trying to speak to management or to anyone who can concentrate on your call is impossible, apparently, as is getting any calls or emails returned, it seems.

Its really frustrating ordering from many of the online roasters and sellers of equipment. Good luck and I hope you get it sorted asap.

Our site sponsors are typically awesome to deal with so this does surprise me.

Drop me an email (andy@coff....) and Ill get it sorted out promptly.
