Unique Breville BES900 Dual Boiler @Aroma Festival the Rocks this Sunday
Jetblack and cosmorex were there too. Seems like a few sponsors were there actually...
Indeed, but they were all there for machine demos, as opposed to selling tastings of coffee which I'll bet would've been much better than anything on offer
Also, I just checked my email and I didn't get my art or entry to the comp (or at least didn't receive the email). Shame, would love to see what it looked like!
The only descent coffee I had at the Aroma Festival this year was made at the Breville stand, by Phil on the BDB.
I had a couple of others elsewhere that left a nasty taste in my mouth.
I don’t go to the festival to drink coffee. The trouble is with the long queues most people are flat chat without the time or the ability to make good coffee. They didn't cater for Snobs, so I went home early.
A couple of years ago there was a large hall full of coffee equipment. The likes of Di Bartoli were there. also there were experts in lectures, showing how to make good coffee. That has gone now. Breville was one of the few manufacturers I saw this year showing off their machines.

Hey Lilmeh; I kicked off my morning with a Danes coffee. Danes are a sponsor and was selling beans and coffee on the day.
Oops, missed this one.. and maybe because I went a bit late since I live nearby and just thought it would be a good place to grab my morning coffee (bad idea ).
Hey Lilmeh; I kicked off my morning with a Danes coffee. Danes are a sponsor and was selling beans and coffee on the day. I guess the other sponsors were more focused on equipment and customer enquiries.
I eventually ended up at Breville and found they were show casing the BES900 and giving away coffees which was a bonus. I managed to have a quick chat, coffee and photo with Phil. The custom sleeve machine setup was pretty cool. I kept mine and will probably throw it back into the BES900's box.
(Cheers Phil - it would have been exhausting make coffee and talking to everyone all day!)
Unique Breville BES900 Dual Boiler @Aroma Festival the Rocks this Sunday
If you guys want a sneak preview of what we've got going on at Aroma Festival this Sunday at the Rocks in Sydney, check out this youtube clip!
We've got a live feed from the micro-controller delivering data via laptop and fed into a piece of code that creates unique, one of a kind art, from how the machine is being used! It displays the data & the art on a 60" plasma & then prints the art on a coffee cup sleeve to take away and/or have it emailed to you to use as wallpaper or whatever you like!
Also have the chance to win a BES900 in your choice of colour! Stainless, Cranberry, or Black Sesame!
Hope to meet as many fellow snobs at the Rocks for a free coffee!
