Really starting to confuse myself with regards to espresso extraction. I'm not really sure about how many mls for single espresso when it comes to particular variables as explained below.
Using the following equipment:
- 3 Group Synesso Hydra
- double spout portafilter
- ridgeless VST 18g basket
My question is, when I put my 19 grams or so in the basket and plug it into the coffee machine, do I then put 2 cups (1 under each spout) and extract 30 mls from EACH side (so total 60 mls for both cups) and consider this 2 espressos made?
OR
Is it supposed to be 15 mls from each side (so totalling 2 espressos with only 15 mls in each cup)
OR
Is this wrong altogether and I should be putting 1 cup under both spouts?
