    Hi Guys,
    Some advice please
    I have a Brita C150 filter/softener from Bombora - which is excellent
It has filtered FAR less than the 3500 litres that it is able to and still tests at zero ppm hardness on test strips
    It is 11 months old
How long would you leave it in before changing? Await a change on test strips? Change at 1 year?

    Thanks for any advice
    Dr Dave

    Hi Dave,

    Bombora recommend 12 months.

My advice would be to call them to seek advice.

Whilst many us us here use (and recommend) the C150, any opinions you receive will be just.... opinions!

    Cheers

    Chris

      Hi Dr Dave,

They're supposed to be replaced every 12 months. You can download the manual from the net. Also, are you aware you can get a C50 that is exactly the same as the C150 except that it has a lower capacity and costs less?? It may be fine for your usage - again, download the manual to check.

I'm pretty sure that most of the filter replacement dates were more about "yucky stuff that grows inside" than hardness tests.

Ever cut an old one open for a look?
