    This clip in the Australian this morning Video: Journo Engel says captors pro-regime interesting viewing.
    Perhaps just a passing fad, regardless, it cant do the coffee industry any harm at all, great to see.
    For some reason the intrepid reporter only recognises the east coast of OZ "from Melb to Brisbane" guess the rest of us don't count.

    Those of us that participate from time to time do think of it as being really interesting, but not everyone does, especially if they have no particular reason to do it.

    From a story point of view its just my opinion but as always, its a story making it seem as though "everyone's doinit" when of course, everyone isnt.....and makes people think about "tryinit" because they think everyone else is "doinit" and are worried they are "missin out" as a result....you get the drift.

    But as you said...sure cant do any harm!

    PS I do wish people wouldnt pick at their noses while doing stuff with food & bev (and being photographed / video'd).

        hehehe, I originally included a bit more in my reply about the grottiness I saw in the vid., but decided to can it and be discrete !

        PS not related but I spent considerable time on my small roaster today getting my modus operandi just right, before roasting up a couple of 5 kilo batches of Jamaica Blue Mountain Wallenford Estate. It turned out a "peach", cant wait to try some.

          My observation re grottiness, as well as the nose thing was the scraggly untrimmed beard, beards do shed, I know, I've got one I can understand barista's wanting to develop a personality but why oh why do so many of em look like they need a bloody good wash.
          Five kg of Blue Mountain eh? quite an investment, wouldn't want to stuff that one up, lets know how it turns out.

            Gotta love the name Russell Beard...given the Cat Stevens look he has adopted. I also like how the participants' status fell from 'coffee snobs' to 'coffee nerds' by the middle of the piece.

              Had a bit of a chuckle at the name my self.
              Have to admit I find the cupping thing pretty nerdy, bit like wine tasting, however can certainly appreciate the need for it if your involved in the industry.
              As a coffee or wine consumer, not so much, I taste, evaluate, and appreciate as I consume.

                    As rock trivia buffs might already know, the only member of ZZ Top without a beard is...Frank Beard.

                    BTW, if you are a ZZ Top fan, you might think of getting one of these for Christmas. But to get back on topic, having one of those may make it difficult for cupping exercises.
