  • Safe to check in Smart Grinder at the airport?

I'm buying it for a friend. Do you think it is ok? Even if we say its fragile? Anything I can do to secure its transport better?

Put it in a Pelican or Otterbox case? Otherwise, well padded in the middle of a larger suitcase.

It's probably light enough for carry-on if that's not inconvenient for you.

check it as fragile. I do with my fishing rods and they don't go on the conveyor belt thing.

if you really wanted to make sure it's taken care of, you can take it as carry-on luggage.

Take it on as carry on luggage. It well within size and weight restrictions - don't know about the box size, you may have to carry it without its box.

Or, you could send it as a special item and pick it up from a separate baggage claim area (not the carousel). Means you also have to check it separately as well.

Or, if it is in its original packaging you would probably be OK to just put it in as checked luggage.

Best option if you're really worried is to de-box it and carry it on with you.
