although, a traditionalist would say dispense with the warmed milk altogether, and just add cold, to chill the coffee for rapid consumption!
I often do this when Im working and I need a rapid pick me up to cope with the coffee rush!

You need to start with an excellent quality espresso shot - 30ml from 30 sec, and cut the pour a bit short
then spoon or throw a little warmed creamy milk on top, the run a drizzle of cold milk down the side of the glass / cup to achieve the 3 tiered effect!

Making a machiato?
Making a machiato isnt simply pouring a bit of milk on top is it? I notice a machiato often has 3 layers, how do I achieve this?
Figured I might start drinking machiatos when I want a milk-based drink as piccolos are becoming too milky for me.
