Title says it all really.
I have a VST 18g (and love it), however I actually bothered weighing how much beans I was using per shot and it was closer to 20.5g. I just fill basket, lightly tap to settle grounds, flatten it off with my finger to all edges (not applying any down pressure, simply pushing the beans around), and tamp.
I'm a fan of the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it', and I have no problems with my shots, the pucks look just peachy, however technically, should I be adjusting my grind and using less beans per shot? If so.. huzzah, more coffee per kg!
Cheers,
~M
