Yikes. Social media sure is proving to be dangerous for some people...

I like the Italian model as well - however, I don't know about Australia but here in NZ it is not unknown to take up to 10 minutes for the "barista" to finish chatting with his/her friend, take a reluctant look at the list of coffees waiting, flick some pre-ground coffee of indeterminate age out of the hopper, scrap the surplus off the top of the basket back into the hopper with their sweaty paw and actually make the coffee, which then sits around until the waitstaff finish chatting with his/her friend, etc.

This is generally not compatible with the tiny bars and customers literally standing at the bar that I have experienced in Italy.

I don't think the takeawaygate incident will help the perception of their business much, it's been pretty widely publiced now.

Also a good point, "sensation sells"...

I hate reading these stories because the journalists pump the stories up to get more of a response.

For example, I work in the bus industry and recently a driver was 'bashed' while driving he's passengers on the local route. It was reported that a man in he's early 20's repeatedly punched the driver and made this guy look like a hardened thug and the poor old driver was doing he's job and stuff like this should never happen blah blah blah.

In truth, when I saw the actual CCTV footage from the security system (which was never published). You will find that the driver was absolutely abusing the passenger for not validating he's ticket and actually made comment on the passengers ethnicity. Then when the passenger was offended he decided to get out of the drivers face and just sit down. The driver then proceeded to get out of he's seat continuously abuse the young guy and grabbed he's collar in attempt to physically drag him to the ticket validator. Then when he gets punched twice in attempt to get the driver off him he is labelled as the bad guy...

These articles are ridiculous... I refuse to actually believe any of it.

"The evil hackers did it", uh huh... Really convenient that, one wonders how many other "fake" posts were made on their Facebook page... *rolleyes*

Regardless, there are always two sides to the story and I wonder if either of them was accurately reported.

Lol....nothing good can come from that! Next time the pregnant lady should order a sit down coffee, then once it's delivered, ask for it to be put in a takeaway (cause I've gotta go now!). Business gets stung twice!

Some people in business fail to see the big picture....

They reckon any publicity is good publicity, not sure this article will help Zellini's much though.
