Fresh roasted beans in Sydney

Hi,

Question for the forum: where are the good sellers of freshly/daily roasted coffee beans in Sydney? I had a problem on the weekend when I realised I had almost run out of beans, and any sort of online ordering would take at least until the weekdays for delivery.

Need a good option for when the need arises.

Hi Calvin- this is one solution to the problem! 8-). Alternately, Single Origin is just one that comes to mind....

Get a Breadmachine/heat gun then or a popcorn maker.
They are not roasters but you can use them to roast some great coffee.

Out at Parramatta. Pretty happy to travel around, but of course closer is better.

And yes, Ive tried asking for permission for a popcorn maker already - doesnt work, shes onto me.

You can get ones quite cheap from Cash Converters etc.
My wife just rolled her eyes when I said I wanted one.
But she was fine with it when I told her I would be able to roast my own for around a third to half the cost of buying already roasted beans.

Thats not the problem.

The problem is shes not coping well already with the mess I make - I do clean up, and she likes the coffee - but anything else thatll introduce more of a mess is too much.

1. Buy the gear you need and hide it
2. Tell her you love her
3. Buy her a massage, manicure, etc.
4. Drop her off and say youre "just going for coffee"
5. Rush home and roast as much as you can
6. Clean up
7. Clean up again - you are obviously not doing it right!!!

ahh yes I get that problem as well Calvin.
I use a cut down 3l milk container around the base of my grinder now and that helps.
Much easier to clean up.

I roast outside and so all the chaff just blows away.
So then it is just finding places to store the equipment and making sure I clean them up myself after I have used them.

Parramatta, hmm...Thats my neck of the woods.

If youre desperate, I reckon I could find some spare greens (or browns) lying around.
