    WRT : with respect to.... done....take a look !

Oh and for the record, just because I didn't say so, doesn't mean I don't also think they're a hoot. But they serve a purpose...

Yep, read TOK's post and wondered about WRT, now I know

Re the statement "I bet they sell a squillion." reckon your right TOK, bearing in mind they have a market of a squillion potential customers.

It reminds me of an old saying, a good idea in the US will make you a millionaire, a good idea in Oz will probably send you broke.

Still reckon the girls are the funniest thing since Martin and Lewis.

Not as funny as the Goon show, but there is synergy there

Take a look at their website, it lists all their staff - they have almost 50 people working across 2 stores, not a small operation!

Not surprising in the context of this enthusiasm: :-)

Well....re the above post #14: The question was posed on CoffeeSnobs so; ......expect a CoffeeSnobs answer.
I reckon this one actually pre-dates the internet. If I recall correctly (sorry, IIRC) it is sometimes used in maths when discussing differential calculus problems (e.g. differentiate y wrt x etc.).

Crikey! this thread has drifted a touch off topic, Spike Milligan would have been delighted.

                      G'day bigdaddy,

Back to the original topic, you will struggle to find better finish that that of Diadema.

Our display model Diadema Junior Semi Auto (PUL) | Talk Coffee may be of interest. We ship to Adelaide all the time.

I second the Diadema's - I looked pretty closely for build quality before getting my Reale - and they're right up there

                          Hi folks,

You guys are funny....I don't mind letting the topic ride (LIR) ....Eventually someone pulls it BOT sorry, in old school talk Back On Topic...re The Goon show etc....Those were the days...I remember my dad religiously tuning into ABC radio at 11.30 (I think) every Saturday morning Listening to it for 1/2hr....I digress...

What's the Exobar Minore 4th generation like?...Even though it's a tad over what I suggested I would like to pay...I'd consider it if I could get one a a reasonable price and they were good...What's the machine like?....I know quite a while back Exobars were very good value for money machines as a rule.

                          Cheers.

                            Hi folks,

Double post here....Mods please feel free to merge my last 2 posts if you think it's appropriate to do so.

I'm looking at the Exobar Minore 4 and some one suggested looking the Quick Mill range...As I do not know much about the brand, I was wondering people's thought's on the Quick Mill range of machines?....Do they work well?...Parts availability, servicing, warranty backup and reliability?

                            Cheers.

                              Hi folks,

I've noticed no replies to my last 2 posts....Maybe people don't have time etc...I don't know if these questions are appropriate, if not let's know...Happy to learn.... Or if you haven't already pm'd me perhaps you could pm me and let me know about these two machines.

My understanding so far is the Minore 4 is a very good machine...I'm not sure about the Quick Mill...

I know I'd probably get ten thousand different answers but I'm happy to sift through them...I didn't think it was an issue, so if people would be kind enough to let me know their thoughts, hopefully by posting them so others can learn as well, but pm's are good...I'd appreciate that...

                              Cheers.

I don't have the breadth of experience to give advice on brands. Not sure why others haven't commented...

Generally I'd look at getting the best grinder you can then work out what coffee you want to make, how many of them in what time frame and how often, then look for a machine that will do it. I don't think it's worth paying big bucks for a machine if you go light on the grinder.

The advice for 2 espressos a day will be different to that for 6 capps and 4 lattés between 8AM and 9AM every day. You can live with delays waiting for a boiler to re-temp itself for one or two coffees but doing 6 at a time would drive you crazy in a week. (i.e. the 1st instance a single boiler will see you through, the 2nd you've want double boiler, HX or twin thermoblock) What coffees do you think you will be making for your 0.5kg per week?

For grinders, TampIt has done a pretty thorough job evaluating the Mahlkonig Vario Rev 2 as a decent home use grinder - maybe PM him or search for his posts?
