Question re forum searches

I have a question for the admins... in most other web based forums that Ive belonged to, there has been a search function titled "new since last visit" or something along those lines, which made it really easy to keep up with new topics that have been made since your last visit to the forum. The closest Ive found on this site is "view the 20 most recent topics", which is great, but only if youre relatively up to date. If you miss a few days, then there is no easy way to get a list of all posts that have been made since you were last on the site.

My question is; does this feature already exist, only bean_junky is too blind from all the caffeine to see it ? If it doesnt already exist, would it be possible to have it added?

If its too difficult to do, or theres some reason not too, then obviously thats okay. I just thought Id mention it in case its a simple matter of turning on the feature, but you didnt think anyone would find it useful.
