    Simple answer...they dont!
    Correct.

We are trialling a pod machine at work. Although the pods have a best by date of Oct 2008, there are strong ash tray flavours in the aftertaste.

For the majority of the nescafe 43 drinkers pod coffee is great.

Coffee pods that stay fresh?? for up to 2yrs??

    :-?Article in"Food Australia" March 2007:-
"A- state- of -the -art coffee pods production facility has been establihed in Australia
"using nitrogen to preserve flavour and extending shelf life for up to two years"
"incorporates technology to ensure a consistent grind, sealing and nitrogen flushing of all pods".
What I would like to know is ,if whole roasted beans last only 3weeks in an inert atmosphere of carbon dioxide in sealed bags with a one way valve, how come these pods of GROUND coffee can last thirty times as long!!
    Herbie.
Working...
