Brasilia Cappuccino Century Vs Grimac La Uno advice

I'm currently using a Brasilia Cappuccino Century 1 group machine, very similar to a Brasilia Portofino DEL 1. It is a tank model.

I'm currently restoring a Grimac La Uno/mini which I'm hoping to have finishing in a few weeks. This is also a tank model and I will be upgrading the steam wand during the restoration.

I now have to decide which to keep and which to sell and was hoping to get some advice.

I probably make 2-4 coffee's a day mostly cafe latte's.

Also the grimac is about two thirds the size of the Brasilia.

any advice would be appreciated.

Keep of which matters to you,

I do see that you are trying to restore a Grimac Uno/Mini....

Although i have not touched other machines than my GS/3, bet you could tell thats a nice E61 style grouphead...

But it lacks the bells and whistles of a true E61.....

If you sold your Brasilia to make up for restoration costs...

Will your newly restored machine pull better shots and possibly steam better?

Is it worth restoring?

Ahh but following my own heart in the posting of this response I would have to ask which do we prefer.....strange postings with some SOH, or the serious BS masquerading as "fact" that some of the resident trolls come up with time after time?

I dont know anything about the brasilia model mentioned in the topic however if it is as advised a close "relation" to the portofino, I would keep the grimac machine and sell off the brasilia. I am not a fan of either but if having to choose one of the two I would pick the smaller one for a domestic kitchen scenario.

The Cappucino Century IMHO is worth keeping.....

I've looked at reviews in coffeegek, and it seems there's a higher average rating for the cappucino century...

Looks like the Brasilia Cappuccino Century it is. Unfortunately my Grimac didn't work out for me anyway.
