  • What would you choose?

I've been wanting to get into syphon coffee but once I added up the cost of another grinder and syphon setup ie. Hario .. I've got about enough for a roaster that would save me money on buying roasted coffee beans. Or do I need more than just a roaster? I've got a vbm Jnr and mazzer mini atm

Depends on the roaster java time.

If your a bit handy a Coretto can be set up at a reasonable cost, all that is needed is an old single loaf bread maker, heat gun, digital multi meter, bean cooler and a few spare hours, the whole job, assuming you buy a new heat gun and DMM can be done for less than $300.

You can roast batches up to 750 grams with excellent results.

PS notice there is one for free in pay it forward at the moment if you happen to be in Melbourne.

I would be looking at getting a Behmor or something manual. I go through quite about 1/2kg+ per week of coffee beans. Is it worth it? recently brought beans from Andy and they are good and reasonably priced. How long do these things last?
