Maybe you could post up your backstory here:

Not sure from your post whether you are an American or Australian ex-pat?? Guessing American??

I've heard of barista jams but not espresso jams.

I've also heard of Talk Coffee...... ;-D
Hey all good points! I'll post my backstory for sure.
I'm an American expat in Australia for two years. Originally from Chicago but really loving Melbourne.
Barista Jams.. That's what I meant!

I'm an expat from Chicago now living in Melbourne. Since I got here 2 months ago I'm really liking the cafe/coffee/espresso culture - just awesome.
Anyways, I took a couple espresso classes and bought a cheap espresso machine and have been trying my hand at espressos at home, which are definitely not good so far!
I'd like to find or join a group here in Melbourne if there is such a thing. An Espresso Jam, I think they're called? It'd be fun to pick up some skills and try different equipment, talk coffee, etc.

    Hopefully such a thing exists!

    Thanks,
    Ryan
