Here is a question for the espresso fans out there.
How do you like your espresso?
The non-snobs probably will say one espresso is much the same from the next, however I know I can bounce around my home town and visit 16 cafes and get 16 different drinks.
Some are more liquid with some crema, some seem to be like little shots of densely aerated milk chocolate (a personal preference), some are double shots deliberately poured long that are more delicate, but no less tasty.
What others are there out there? There is the poorly extracted shot, or the shot using stale beans - these we should leave out of consideration for obvious reasons.
So, could you describe your perfect version an espresso?
