        • Many thanks to Antony at Casa Espresso! I finally upgraded from my highly modified Frankenstein Gaggia Classic to this shiny beauty. I had the pleasure of a new machine and a new grinder both being christened together today.
Sorry, but my IPad insist the photo must stay sideways

So..... the question is - spring or no spring?

            • I haven’t bought anything substantial and brand new for ages. (Of course I’ve bought plenty of second hand stuff and new or used accessories). But I had the chance to grab a Mahlkonig Vario recently for a price bordering on silly so I couldn’t turn it down. It’s been in use for a few weeks now and I gotta say I’m pretty damn impressed.

              • I can't decide so I have kept both. I think the Elektra makes better espresso, cleaner flavours, but less crema( not sure if that is my issue or the machine), La Pavoni on the other hand is fun to play with, and I am able to get more crema for milk based drinks, but the other issue is the steam power is no where as good as the Elektra. So the conundrum continues...

                • Finally have a spring lever to tick off the list, after only two shots I feel like I've caught the spring lever bug..or was it a lever to the head, I can't remember.

It makes the Alex Duetto look like a tiny toy.

                  • Similar build qualities for both though...

                      • Got the new buffet and now have a dedicated coffee area.

Only issue the behmor doesn’t fit in the cupboards but it was the sacrifice needed so the better half was happy that the new table and buffet matched the house and she was sold on the table.

Not plumbing in the Linea mini but installed a c150 tap so it’s easy to fill with filtered water.

Green beans and all stored away and only one drawer and one cupboard is free now.

I’m still yet to find somewhere but I’m okay with it.

Both parties are happy. I have my own area and the better half has a tidy house with no coffee clutter.

                            • This is the current setup at home in UAE and on site in Rwanda. I'm waiting for the new grinder to come for home next week.
