Hi Folks - I've got a second hand machine and when I bought it, it was obvious that one of the portafilters was used 100% of the time. The problem is, it's got a serious build up of oil/coffee/grime.
I've been trying to gradually chip away at cleaning it by wiping it out with a cloth or scorer and soaking in machine cleaner for an hour every week. It's gotten me a way, but it's still not as clean as I'd like it.
What are the suggestions on speeding up this process? I have thought about steel wool etc but have been apprehensive for risk of permanently damaging the handle.
For reference: double left, single right...
