Hi all!
I purchased a new Lelit PL 60 a few months ago after my Classic Gaggia died.
I'm loving it, at times. Sometimes I feel the shots I was pulling from the Gaggia would be a bit creamier and thicker than the ones I'm getting so far from my Lelit. They often seem a bit watery, pale and thin from my PL60.
I've tried a number of different options. Finer grind, thicker grind, more coffee, less coffee...
The best I'm getting at the moment seems to be in this video. Not much crema... and fits the above description. Ends up with a sloppy puck too.
Is it the wrong grind? Is the water temp wrong (and is it possible to change?)? Not enough beans?
Any thoughts? I tried to post the whole process. Forgive some of the out of focus moments!
