So on Xmas day, I was cleaning up the kitchen after lunch. The mrs had roasted something in one of those huge cast-iron dishes. The food scraps were baked on solid.
Even after a good soaking, nothing was budging, even with a bit of elbow grease.
Then I thought: "I wonder what would happen if I tried the coffee machine powder?". So I tipped a couple of spoonfuls of the powder plus hot water and let it soak for maybe 30 minutes...
And what a result - everything just slid straight off.
This may well, be common knowledge, but I sure as hell hadn't tried it before.
