Personally, I'd say Brunswick (even if just to meet Luke, quite possibly the nicest guy in the world) - unless you're gluten free, in which case North Melbourne (100% g/f kitchen; use coconut flour for everything).Originally posted by kike10 View PostWhich of the Code Black locations would you recommend for lunch? Industry is in Fitzroy, yeah? Or have they relocated? [emoji848]Originally posted by ArtW View PostA couple more - Industry Beans (Brunswick), Top Paddock (Richmond) , Deadman Espresso (South Melbourne)
Speaking of Top Paddock, their new(ish) place Higher Ground is pretty special and not to be missed IMO (western end of the CBD).
I also forgot Wide Open Road (stone's throw from Code Black Bruswick) and All Day Donuts (shorter stone's throw in the opposite direction).
TBH you could spend a whole day just in Brunswick and not hit everywhere that's worth hitting... same goes for Fitzroy/Collingwood and probably southside too...

Yep, my mistake (I've corrected it now), Industry Beans is behind Brunswick street but in Fitzroy, around the corner from 35Kerr65, a good coffee but not really a lunch place like the rest. Agree with you re Higher Ground as well though I haven't eaten there yet - its a spectacular space and the coffee is good.Originally posted by Magic_Matt View PostIndustry is in Fitzroy, yeah? Cheers for the recommendation. My wife and I had brunch there on Friday, it was pretty damn good. Awesome fit out of the cafe/roasting house , the food was amazing , service top notch and the coffee 👌🏽👌🏽.Originally posted by Magic_Matt View PostPersonally, I'd say Brunswick (even if just to meet Luke, quite possibly the nicest guy in the world) - unless you're gluten free, in which case North Melbourne (100% g/f kitchen; use coconut flour for everything).

Check out STREAT they just moved their roastery to Collingwood roaster is a real nice guy always up for the chat and doesn't ooze try hard hipster either. For those that hate the lemon punches from the likes of seven seeds then I find STREAT tend to favour body, nutty, chocolate, wine type flavours as opposed to sourness.
