Nah, everything in my description is factual and it's what Espresso Organic already is... just we don't feel the need to sell it that way.

But does it come in an ethnically sourced, organic neutral, reusable bleach free paper bag from a free range renewable Forrest?

What Mike said! I honestly cannot recommend supermarket coffee. It's coffee that's long "dead". A coffee will taste good within the first month after roast, after that it's all the same. The supermarket coffees don't not display the roast date on the package as they claim the coffee is good for 1 year or so. Sure, it doesn't go bad but all the taste that makes it interesting is gone.Originally posted by coffeeidherer View PostI'm just wondering though, what brand and product would you recommend that's commonly available (in most shopping malls instead of mail-delivery-only). Such as in Coles, Woolies, Aldi etc.
Preferably I'm looking into something that have strong effects on focus, since it's really a busy period for me at work at the moment.
Some people reported that Aldi brand coffee is the freshest supermarket coffee you can buy. That is assuming you buy it as beans, not ground coffee. Ground coffee is pretty much guaranteed to be stale no matter how well it's packaged.
In regards to the "strong effects on focus" bit, I assume you want coffee with high caffeine content. The coffee variety that has the most caffeine content is robusta. The problem with robusta is that in general it tastes pretty horrible and due to lower quality of processing may have more of the mycotoxins you're trying to avoid.

Hi Coffeeidherer
As someone here said buy some roasted coffee beans from the Bean Bay here. Don't bother with Coles, Aldi or Woollies unless you actually want to do a Bean Bay versus Coles comparison to backup why this site is full of coffee snobs. When you buy from Bean Bay look at the descriptions of the roasted beans. Some are more suited to milk based drinks and some to espresso style. If your unsure ask. There are also blends to try.
I would suggest you to buy a "Roasted Sample Pack". You will be amazed at the differences between the beans. They are freshly roasted and all high quality.
Mike

I'm going to wait to hear what Pete Evans has to say about this before I form a strong opinion.

Sounds like one of those fads that come and go but if you're set on trying it check out Mycotoxin free coffee - Byron Bay Coffee Company and also read What Are Coffee Mycotoxins, Mycotoxin Free Coffee Beans.
Basically you're after high quality, washed processed, dark roasted, no decaf, arabica coffee. I'm pretty sure you cannot go wrong with most offers from CoffeeSnobs - BeanBay .
Thank you so much for the post you made, really appreciate you taking the time explaining it to me.
Although this is also the first time I'm buying coffee to make it myself (that's not instant), so I'm really overwhelmed by all the brands.
