Jules (Samuel L Jackson): "mmmm goddam Jimi this is some serious gourmet sh!*, me and Vincent would have been satisfied with some freeze dried Tasters Choice right? And he springs this gourmet sh!* on us. What flavor is this?
Jimmie (Quentin Tarantino): Knock it off Julian. I don't need you to tell me how f***ing good my coffee is OK. I'm the one who buys it, I know how good it is. When Bonnie goes shopping, she buys sh!*, I buy the gourmet expensive stuff 'cause when I drink it I wanna taste it"

I quite the scene from the Sopranos, where Paulie is in a 'gourmet' coffee shop whingeing about how all the non-Italians ran the 'expresso' shops, and how the Italians had invented 'expresso'. I think he then steals an espresso machine (might have been a Moka pot) from them.
There's a wonderful scene in Green Hornet where Kano makes a coffee on the ultimate machine. Search Youtube for "The Green Hornet - Coffee Scene - Kato's Arrival - Full HD" and you'll see it.
You can look up James Bond La Pavoni. You'll see him crack out a cappuccino in about 12 seconds . Then the one who invents everything (sorry. Not a regular follower of Jb. Is it "q"?) says "is that all it does?"
Hi all. haven't posted for a while. Haven't had much to say. But for ages I've wanted to get this one going.
Can you tell us what your favourite coffee references are in tv shows or films?
I seem to be able to think of several tv show references. Here are some to get the ball rolling:
Seinfeld: Kramer spilling the coffee in the cinema, injuring himself. He blows a massive settlement and ends up with a lifetime supply of caffe lattes. He also applies a balm to treat his injury without his lawyer's permission.
Curb Your Enthusiasm: Larry has good fortune and shouts the bar at a Starbucks. He calls out something like "Here. everone have one of those grande, mocha latte bullshit frappaccinos." I loved that . Worth checking for the right quote.
The IT crowd: The short barista (mildly offensive to me, but I can take it). I love the way the handsome barista acts.
Bob Fossil's pocket cup gets an honourable mention, but only coz I'm a fan of 'The Mighty Boosh'.
In films, the only classic that always comes to mind for me is Flying High , where the young girl says "I take it black ... like my men."
Fire away.
Oh yeah . I watched a bit of Gilmore Girls recently , as it's supposed to be loaded with coffee references. It is, but I only lasted one scene.
