No mate, wouldn't mind knowing where it can be obtained in Oz. That's all...

I suspect what trentski is using is not what Yelta linked to but rather is a ceramic that is sometimes refereed to as transparent aluminum.

I suspect trentski also used this material on the garden path he is leading us up...

The best solution to end the arguments about making a mess on the kitchen bench is to get your own bench Best move I ever made was to have my own coffee station away from the kitchen bench.

I claimed a convenient area close to the kitchen sink, minimal consultation, logic prevailed, no argument.

A silicone pastry mat might be a good option for a laminate benchtop, grippy, cut to fit, easy to wipe down wth a damp cloth.

Sundays' little job, took me awhile to even understand what this funnel should be.

Looks really good, don't imagine you want to make another

I use a piece of plastic grid sitting in a routed out cutting board. Works really well as excess grounds from distributing and levelling just fall through the grid and are retained in the bottom part. Works particularly well for hand grinders as the transfer of coffee grounds occurs over the grid, and any spillage just disappears through the grid.
