  • Boiler for a La Cimbali M22 Plus Machine

    Hi All
Anyone know where i might source a boiler for a La Cimbali M22 Plus model 2 group machine?

We had someone in the office decide to froth milk and hot chocolate together after the machine had been turned off and was cooling down, you guessed it, it all went into the boiler.
Vinegar has been flushed through by someone however there is still the smell and taint in the machine.

If you are going to replace the boiler wouldn't it all be apart to flush / clean sufficiently the old one?

    Cheers

Vinegar won't clean it out, you can clean it with milk frother cleaner though. Cafetto sells it (can purchase through Coffee Parts) and they have instructions on their site for how to clean out a milk contaminated boiler.

If, however, you do decide to replace the boiler and are looking for what to do with the old one, I need a two group boiler for a project. Let me know.

Also, here's the link to cleaning the boiler: http://www.cafetto.com.au/pdf/cafett...ted-boiler.pdf
It says to use the Pulatte powdered cleaner but I've had success with the liquid before. It's always good to have the liquid on hand anyway for cleaning other milk related things.

Thanks noidle22 and Java, much appreciated.
I was thinking there were instructions on the page itself for cleaning the boiler, i can only see the milk frother instructions on that page.
Looks like i will have to remove the bloiler and soak in the solution a couple of times to get it clean

                  Cheers
