Anything in excess is bad for you, many one off things a day will reduce risk of heart disease but nothing will beat exercise if that is your one thing a day to do.

I think it isn’t a surprising finding at all. Coffee after all is the kernel of a fruit and is one of the least processed foods, roasted enough to release the good stuff contained therein.

I am pleased though as caffeine has been vilified and regarded as an addictive drug. Generations of religious people make a point of not drinking coffee and so on. Legions of Red Bull drinkers abuse caffeine by consuming it in huge quantities as well.

I am pleased and you can tell your doctor to get stuffed too if he has some antiquated notion that it is bad for you.

One man's elixir is another man's poison.
If only it was as simple as what you ate and drank.

Bit like Cholesterol really. One person can eat junk food constantly and have low Cholesterol and another can eat only healthy natural food and have high Cholesterol. Who drops off the perch first - anybody's guess.

Yeah it's cool these are coming out, but yeah definitely more of a by correlation thing.

And ah wow a lower risk of death because of drinking coffee, what a powerful elixir!

I think much of the general public hear snippets on the news like this, and interpret it as ' yay, I can keep hitting up my usual 4 or 5 full cream milk caramel Lattes each day, and my heart will be protected!'

It's worked so far for me, no strokes and no heart attacks (as far as I know).

Short blacks also keep purple elephants away.

    Works a treat!
