I'm hoping someone can clear up my confusion.
For years I was told a double shot (18g) on my machine should produce 60ml, including crema, with an extraction time of 30 secs +/- one second.
Now I read that volume measurement of the shot is out and weight is in and I should be getting a ratio of about 1:2. So with 18g in I should be getting 36g out in about 25 - 30 secs. Now if I do follow this I only get just under 30ml out and not much crema. Is my understanding correct??
As we only have latte, caps and flats at home should this be the recipe I should be following as it does not look right in the cup.
