Boy that's a serious machine for a sausage sizzle. You will probably need to disconnect some elements to allow it to run on a 10 or 15A outlet (depending on what you have available).
The machine should be able to draw water without needing inlet pressure. A non-return valve fitted to the water hose will stop any possible backflow and ensure the pump always stays full of water.
RS Components sell a good quality, reasonably priced non-return valve, part number 486-170.

The internal rotary pump will easily pull water up from a drum . You won’t need to put the drum above the machine but you will need a one way valve to stop water free flowing out when the pump is idle .
Biggest issue I would think would be power for a machine like that in a mobile application.
Would be 25amp plus I would think.
Feel free to PM me if I can help.

Raise the water container so it’s not sucking up against gravity and it should be fine.

I wouldn't of thought so, try it at home from a 20ltr drum and see if it draws well enough. Don't forget the drain bucket.

Will I need a flojet to run espresso machine at a market.
I have a friend who is running a sausage sizzle in a few weeks to raise money for work he does with children with low self esteem. I was thinking of asking him if he would like me to set up the espresso machine to help him pull in more dollars.
A buddy suggested I would need a pump for the water like a flojet. The system looks cheap but not if it is not something that I need.
The machine is a Sanremo Verona with 4 group heads.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
