I am posting this thread here because it is probably not being seen in the "Milk..." section.
Talking about a Diadema Perfetta here. A couple of months ago I noticed that one of the two steam holes in my wand was not working properly and I gave it a gentle ream-out with a needle.
It hasn't steamed properly since.
The Perfetta is a powerful steamer normally but now seems more so.
I have been trying to steam with it turned right down but once the milk temp is warm (condensation on side of jug disappears) the temp on my thermometer roars up to 70 in a few seconds and the milk is NOT textured.
Is it possible for there to be a thermostat problem with this machine in relation to steaming?
It's as though the steam is way too hot.
I have not been able to produce microfoam since I gave the nozzle a ream - which doesn't make sense to me.
If I can't sort this I will have to get rid of the machine. There are no coffee machine technicians up here in the sticks.
Any suggestions?
