    Back from sea, 12 weeks, not 9 as planned, had to train my replacement.

    Here are some photos of the coffee instilation on the bridge, my grinder with the bridge thermoblock machine.

    Im assuming the Nescafe tin next to it is being used as a makeshift knock-box

      There are none so blind as those who WILL not see.

      The nescafe is for the non-believers.

      BTW, I couldnt "knock box" the PF on this POS machine, when I tried all that would happen is the basket would come out and fall in the bin.
      It also had the "crema enhancer" single outlet hole under the basket holes, couldnt "fix it" as it isnt my machine, this will change :-).

        Have you seen the email photos of the Pusha bulk carrier in that storm. Coffee grinds would be everywhere. Think I would of run the ship aground too.

            Based on my brief meeting of the man himself (at Island Espresso, where else),

            Im sure it would be a Duke,
            and as to why its got no wheels, based on his occupation,
            Im guessing he was about to fit the pontoons.... ;D

              Looks more like a Moto-Guzzi, dont recall Ducati making a V-Twin in that configuration.

                Well spotted, its a Guzzi, "Seldom seen, always noticed" was an advertising statement of old from Guzzi. A 95 Sport 1100

                It has no wheels, because its a guzzi!
                They are not only Italian, but a small Italian engineering company, the engineering itself is excellent, but the build quality can vary depending on the time of day it was done, and the day of the week.
                Italian motorcycle riders have the opinion that the only good Italian bike is the one made before lunch on a Wednesday ;D

                The back wheel is off getting its final drive (Shaft) bevel box seals changed, and the front is off getting a new tire.
                When it was new, I wore out the original tire in two weeks, it was well supported, and a friend came around so the opertunity for a no wheels photo was there, so it was grasped.

                  Wore it out in two weeks from new? Or had the tyre had some wear on it already!?

                  Great poster for the Guzzis too, Andy. That sums up the company pretty well!

                    Ive always loved Italian Engineering and I guess if you put everything else into the same perspective as they do, it just all adds up to the charm of owning and using one of these thoroughbreds..... Love em,

                      Brand spanking new Michelin Hi Sports, original fitment, the two weeks was due to the fact that I had owned the bike for nine months before getting to ride it, long story, and tassie roads in summer.

                      Hi Sports were known for their grip, but not their wear resistance, and as I was riding the bike twice a year when it was new, another long story, I went for grip not wear.
                      I would descend on the island for three weeks, put a new set of tires on it, thrash it unmercyfully for three weeks, then go back to work leaving it with another set of worn out tires to await my return.
                      Metzelers extended the life to about three weeks, Guzzi must have had some complaints about the life of the original fitment tires as the next model, the fuel injected sport, was fitted with bricks that took about a year to wear out, but had cr$p grip, I prefere the former.

                      BTW, motorcycleing isnt "Cheap" transport anymore, as set of tires costs between $500 and $700.

                      Some mates of mine calculated that a thrash down the Strath Gordon road cost more in tires than petrol.

                        No, tyres arent cheap for motorcycles, Andy! You wont get any arguement here!

                        However, I am amazed at how cheap tyres are for scooters. A front and rear tyre for my scoot costing less than 170 dollars!
