I have one filter that I can knock the puck out of and works as it should but the other filter comes out of the portafilter with the puck still in it, so I then retrieve it from the bin and dig the puck out, which is messy. I have tried crimping the edge of the filter with multi grips to sit in tighter but maybe have to crimp more? Any suggestions?

Eject puck problem
Common issue with my Cremina- just hold one edge of the basket with your thumb while you give it a tap on whatever you’re using to catch the puck.Originally posted by WarrenK View PostI have one filter that I can knock the puck out of and works as it should but the other filter comes out of the portafilter with the puck still in it, so I then retrieve it from the bin and dig the puck out, which is messy. Gets easier with practice.
Good luck.

Not using a knock box but a plastic kitchen bin on the corner which has been strong enough to handle about 6K of strikes so far. Picture one is the closest, about where the steel neck meets the handle. The dual wall one in the photo is the problem one.Originally posted by level3ninja View PostWhen you bang the puck out of the portafilter, I assume you're banging it out on a knock box? Are you hitting the portafilter on the handle or near the edge of the basket like this photo:

Or are you banging it part way up the basket like this photo:
