Australis ...do you have Good water filtration in place?

Extended on / idling time will place more emphasis on your water / filtration.
Not to the point of a drastically reduced life cycle of the machine or quality of experience.
But As we know scale is the result of undissolved solids left behind when water is brought to the boil and into steam.
And internal scale is the hidden enemy of espresso machines ...as well as one of the (likely) major contributors to sour tastes

A very nice machine like the Mozzafiato, deserves ...
good water and ....a WiFi switch -
setup to a number of time cycles to match coffee making needs... with 3/4hr heat up cycle.
And the remote access via the switch is there ....for any change in circumstances as well.

And a 3 stage filtration setup.
Water Softener Cylinder, Initial Filtration (10-13microns = Coffee Std) and a final Sub Micron Filter
would ensure the machines health And contribute to a very fine shot taste.

Good Luck with it Australis...let us know how you go...

...which now appears anyway

Anyway, now that we all know what the machine is, the answer to leave it on will be convenient and not too costly. It should have good boiler insulation.

Also, install solar panels.

Absolutely mean them. Without knowing what the OP has, my first thought was entry level consumer which mostly have an automatic shutoff and and small boilers that heat up pretty quickly.

Australis why not consider a wifi connected timer? Some machines take half an hour or more to get up to temp, with a timer you can set a time or control remotely. If you mention the machine I am sure someone would be able to give an idea of warm up time.
