Vanilla Ice Cream, Frangelico and crushed roasted Hazelnut. OK that might be cheating. Bouchee.

I find it takes me around 10 coffees to crack nuts with my eyebrows nowadays, (must be old age).

For us, super fresh butter plain croissants, (used to be a guy selling these in our local Sunday markets), the butter used was so fresh - we where always gobsmacked.

Fresh Iranian saffron/cardamom cream filled eclairs - also subtle enough for great black coffee.

I disagree. Speculaas are nice (grew up with them in South Africa as they got there with the Dutch settlers), but I nearly always stop after two boxes, a few times even after one.

Something simple most of the time, but.....once a week, head to my local patisserie at Lorn for a treat. Need to get in early as, for some reason it is extremely popular.

Stroopies. Another Dutch treat to be had with coffee.

I don't really like eating anything with a coffee. If I am having food at a cafe I often order a coffee after I finish eating as I like to focus on the coffee.

But I need to eat/have breakfast before coffee, don't really like having coffee on an empty stomach.

I'm in the coffee only camp.

If I do eat it will be after the coffee.

Or better still follow up the coffee with another cup

A box or two? Ha, I've never managed a box in one sitting yet lol.

                          Mmmm...

Oliebollen occasionally - Never manage to make them last more than a couple of days after a batch is made...

I enjoy (great) coffee no matter what - On its own, with home made delights and with good friends and family.
                              Can't be beat...
