There are different body types and metabolisms.
The Studmistress can eat carbs and sweets all day and still has trouble putting weight on.
I only need to look at a chip or a muffin and my belt shrinks.
To help control this I have a mainly low carb diet.
I make an almond meal based, sugar free biscotti that goes exceptionally well with my mid morning macchiato.

She had learned many recipes from (filthy spammer link and account removed) and I am really grateful that she knows so much about this. Carrot cake is her favourite cake and I must admit that it tastes amazing
Have to hand it to our American friends, sugar and fat hold no fear for them.?

Home made (Finnish style) cinnamon roll, baked with loads of cinnamon, cardemom, sugar and butter...

If these are not available, I usually enjoy my coffee with... another coffee!

Belt me around the ears, but....cold espresso in a glass of coca cola.
But seeing how we reverted to winter in Melbourne, tonight it's espresso with panettone.

Amsterdam? I know I can't have a whole city - alternatively then, an exotic cigarette and reggae music with some red lights :-)

Every so often, an affogato. Even people I've served it to who usually don't drink coffee have enjoyed. Good quality vanilla ice cream only. Haven't tried with any liquers like frangelico, Chambord or amaretto yet.

I do my best to not have anything with my coffee, a good coffee is its own reward.

    Wellllll......, you did ask.
    Ok, I'll stop now.

Enjoy your coffee any which way, with or without the occassional treat.

    Cheers
