    Re: Cleaning Double Spout

I just use cotton buds with a little water on them.
In conjunction with soaking in caffetto on a weekly basis, this does the job for me.

    Goodies,

Get a green scourer pad and cut into about 6 small pieces. I find this is great for cleaning portafilter and basket. As for the spouts, simply fold one of the pieces in half and run through the spouts to clean it up. Definitely soak in cafetto every couple of weeks for 10 mins.

Incidentally, I have also heard of them being used in hot rodding old holden red six motors, apparently they would be stuffed down the oil hole in the push-rods to reduce the oil flow to top of the motor...(however not recommending anyone try this at home).
    Must admit Bullit,

This is not something that I would have thought of..... ;D

They still make those Mal? Im scratching to think the last time I saw anyone smoke a pipe.
Yeah me too, although I did see a pipe the other day...
however methinks the pipe cleaners have become useful for many other cleaning jobs,
    as noted above...
but if you went and asked for something to do those other jobs, how would you describe it?
at least most people know what a pipe cleaner is, dont they?

Thanks guys, I did think of the pipe cleaner. I will give the soaking a go next time I do my full monthly clean of the machine.

Yeah, I actually saw some in a local $2.00 shop the other day so someone must be smoking a pipe somewhere :P ;D....

You should soak the portafilter in coffee cleaner every once in a while, that will easily remove staining.
Yep, and if youre really keen you can get a pack or two of "pipe cleaners" and use these to get into all the nooks and crannies for a pristine clean....

    Gday The Goodies,
I give my pfs a good soaking in a jug with some dissolved back-flushing detergent in it and it brings them up a treat. Give them a thorough rinse, and youre good to go. Just make sure that the detergent doesnt come into contact with the plastic handle though.

    Cleaning Double Spout

I have only had the sunbeam 6910 for a week or so now and was wondering if anyone had any nifty ways of cleaning the double spout without removing it. I do the rinse off after each pour but I like things clean clean, so would like to wipe it down but would prefer to leave the spout attached if possible.

This is what my double spout looks like

Working...
