The Terra Keramik cups are pretty much the perfect cup for me.
The right shape and thickness to retain the heat, 150ml, and beautiful to look at. Wish I could get a few more.
Standard work issue is omg.. disposable paper cups. They are revolting and taste like paper.. I found a dark blue porcelain cheapy cup, and am the envy of all the discerning drinkers that are forced to use paper (and instant..lol)
ok so Im not that much into footy I just like saying go the bunnies, esp when I do jobs at footy clubs that aren't souths cos I love the looks I get :P
Those Clayboy stoneware ones look nice. The white IKEA ones are just so boring :-) I have my coffee in small 50 ml cups with a Turkish pattern (which I found in an Op Shop, 6 for $2, which was too cheap so I gave them $5), and the wife uses Villeroy & Boch "Acapulco" which are about 120 ml as she has milk in hers.
If you have any potters around you then you could commission unique ones, like the Clayboy ones, but with the thickness you want and the shape. I have often bought mugs and bowls for my brekky cereal from local potters, they are unique and it helps local small craft places.

in other news I actually found cups at IKEA believe it or not, perfect round bases on them Ive been looking for, ceramics, not overthick, then again coffee never lasts that long in a cup for me
both piccolo sized (abt 90ml?) and cappuccino sized, will post pics when I find my phone and upset jp and rob with upside down photos :P
like to me, i wanted a smaller rounded cup an as yet still havent found that perfect small round based cup,
What do you mean by 'smaller'? 100 ml? 160 ml?
Google "clayboy stoneware" for something a bit different.
Most of my coffee bevvies are served in ACS cups or Picardi latte glasses with a couple of Terra Keramik cups for those special brews. There's also a CS thread on cups.
More so recently when i got back “into” making proper coffee again in last job id wander by cafes look at machines watch how baristas were making coffee if i could see what coffee etc
but the thing i really looked at was the cups used,
like to me, i wanted a smaller rounded cup an as yet still havent found that perfect small round based cup,
hoping site sponsors may join in here
