Re: Coffee Monster.. the mind is boggling.
that isnt a steam wand its a column shift - you chuck it in reverse and it automatically backwashes the whole machine...

Re: Coffee Monster.. the mind is boggling.
What is the point of the steam arm in the middle, where is the work space for that barista. At best you could have 2 baristas operating 3 groups each. Mind you, with those 16oz cups its a double per cup and big steam capacity to be able to texture 1.5L of milk for those 3 16oz coffees.
Looks like the only thing right in the picture is the stacks of cups to hide the baristas face.

By the height of the group heads Id venture to suggest it is built for the mega-latte market.

Wow, 6 Baristas at once. They must be pretty skinny baristas to all fit with out getting into each others way. ;D

Yes Pat, thats the one! Clearly you were there too... :Originally posted by askthecoffeeguy link=1195722912/0#4 date=1195770460Is that the same machine that descends from the ceiling surrounded by dancing girls and a puff of smoke, then a bunch of naked baristi come sprinting out of the audience to make the stunned crowd some almond-infused piccolissimos, before all diving into a lime-green Ferrari, and blasting off of the stage?
Or was that another machine?P
You need dancing girls and naked baristi there as a distraction..Makes people stop to look and laugh.... :

Re: Coffee Monster.. the mind is boggling.
Yeah,
They like that sorta thing.....:
I remember Fine Food in Melb a few years ago....
Revolving motorised umbrellas :
Lotsa wanky huge milk jug action
Gusher shots and stale low quality coffee...
Perhaps the bling is employed to cover the fact that the coffee is nothing special- not that I have tried it since.... In addition there is no way that 4 baristas can work one machine and achieve uniformity unless theyre pushing buttons on a superauto IMHO...

How is this fellow Coffee Snobbers?
The November issue of the Restaurant and Catering Magazine reports that Amanti has launched the worlds largest espresso machine. This launch was at Fine Food Australia in September. It has a rapid 4 minute heat-up, eight boilers and six steam arms with 50 per cent more steaming power than other machines for rapid milk frothing. There are also 3 LCD screens displaying the coffee making process. At the trade show it was demonstrated how 4 to 6 baristas can work the coffee machine at the same time to produce as many as 18 cups of coffee simultaneously.
Like WOW!
