First of all, I know this is not a topic for the "purists" as I am one myself, but I do have a basic question as Ive not done this before.

After a caffe closed, I was given 2 bottles of flavoured syrup to add to coffee.  My wife was particularly interested in this & asked me to add some to her next cuppa.  My big question is...when do I add the syrup?  :-?

Do I put it in the cup prior to the shot?
Do I put it in after the shot & before the milk?
Do I put it in after the milk?
Do I need to stir it in?

Yes dumb questions I know...but I gotta learn sometime  8-)

    Re: Syrup

    Hi Andrew
    No question is ever dumb!

When we add syrup to our customers drinks, it usually is before the base goes into the cup.

I dont stir it, because it upsets the crema when I want to do some latte artwork, and I find it mixes in when the coffee and milk go in anyway.

Again really, it is personal choice on how you want to do it.

      Thanks for that Linda!

Catching some of your other posts, you sound like you really care about the quality of coffee you serve your customers  ;D  If only all McCafes were run with that much care!

        Andrew,

I had an excellent teacher here that I did a number of courses through that my franchisee paid for.

I do care, and I think that is what makes our coffees a little bit more special.
