Some of you may have read about the EM6900 Ive been using at work.
It developed a few faults recently:
- Group head came away from the thermoblock
- Steam pump died.
After two weeks away being serviced it came back just over a week ago and has been good, as expected.
Then tragedy..........
I had Friday off work and returned to the office on Monday the find my in-box overflowing with shrieks of woe.
The steam pump was dead again.
I rang Sunbeam and after checking the service record, it turns out when the techs were looking at it, the pump was working so they gave it a bit of a service and after fixing the group head problem, returned the unit to us.
Id had my suspicions that the pump hadnt been changed as it didnt make sense for one to fail after 6 days of use.
Anyway, the customer service rep said shed call me back after discussing everything with her supervisor.
Well she didnt take long to call back and told me theyd decided to replace the faulty unit with a brand new EM6910.
All I had to do was go swap them.
So I took an early-mark from work and headed off to Botany where an EM6910 was waiting for me at reception.
Another example of excellent customer service by Sunbeam, a wonderful Christmas present for many people at work.
Merry Christmas Sunbeam !!!
