    Re: Veneziano Brisbane Roastery

Ive had some great espresso at Campos in Brisbane, 1 particular espresso was better than Ive ever had in Sydney.
I still call Caffiene Espresso as the best espresso in town. It would be great to have Veneziano up here so we can finally change some wider public perception on coffee.

I have only ever been to Di Bella in Brisbane, due to proximity to home. Would be interested to know opinions on the quality of their coffees? I think theyre pretty good but then Im only a newbie...

Think this thread should be kept On Topic as a Veneziano Roastery heads-up....... :

Look forward to it...the only coffee that I have tried in Brisbane (out of many a cafe crawl) that I really enjoyed was Naked Coffee...noticed walking past the other day that one of the Three Monkeys girls (with over a decade experience) is now there also, which can only be good.

          Cheers

Well keep you posted. Peter is in Brisbane every weekend overseeing the development and construction of Veneziano Brisbane (roasting works and The First Pour).

                Hey,
Just signed onto the forums so I could post.
I was just wondering if Veneziano Brisbane is hiring any staff. Im currently working part-time as a barista in a specialty cafe however I feel unappreciated and it feels like I have more passion about coffee and putting an awesome drink in each cup than anyone else (incl. owner). Id absolutely love to be involed.
                Thanks.

                  Hey Guys

thought it was time for an update... things are moving nicely with the fit out with internal walls and electrical rough in taking place. As for the opening we are looking at early July. Bloody David Makin winning the Australian Barista Championships and getting prepared for Copenhagen will slow things up a bit. We are have some exciting news we are in the final stages of signing off on Probat UG22 roaster for the Brisbane roastery and this bad boy is one sweet ride. SO excited!

All the other equipment is ready to ship and we are putting the FB80 that David won the ABC on that we purchased at auction after the ABC Finals.

                  See you soon Brisbane.

or better still posting a CV to their Melbourne office.

That baby was soooo pretty in metalic orange! I look forward to seeing all the toys in Brissy one day, the locals will surely enjoy having more choice and another venue to add to their CoffeeSnob coffee crawls.

Went past it today. No signs on yet, just see a small door with the number on top of it and big roller door. It was in the evening so couldnt see anything else. If thats the right one...

I think you meant in the above redmark that David Makin went out and won the Ausrtalian barista championship just to get out of work.

Lets hope that he brings home the Gold in the world championships so he can take more time off work. :P
